Class Code- QD27W
*First and Seventh Grade Buddies had a great time sorting all the donated items for the homeless. Bags were made after Mass on the 6th. We were happy to help with the OLSOS March service project!
*Book Swap- Thank you for the donations! The students loved going and choosing a "new" book.
*Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the Middle School production of the Lion King. The middle schools students, dancers, and singers were all amazing!
*Awesome job reading during March is Reading Month!
*Students need cold/wet weather gear daily. We go outside most days even if it is snowing or the playground is wet. Please make sure your child has the appropriate outdoor gear each day. The playground gets very muddy. We will not be calling home for a change of clothes if your child chooses to play on the wet grass/muddy areas and does not have the proper outdoor gear. Students can play on the sidewalk or wood chip areas if needed.
*IXL will be assigned every Monday and is due the following Monday. This week's assignment: DD.7, DD.8, DD.9
*All students need to practice printing at home. Letters should be formed properly and neatly. Most students are not holding their pencils properly and not forming letters correctly. If they are forgetting the proper pencil grip, please remind them- Tip, Flip, Grip.
*Please make sure you are looking over your child's work daily and going over papers that may have many mistakes. I do not always get an opportunity to go over all papers with students.
*Spelling words need to be studied and practiced each night. Students should be transferring what they learn in spelling (concepts/rules) to their daily writing.
We have spelling lessons during school, but it is important they are practicing spelling and writing the words at home.
*All absences and planned tardies need to be reported to the office secretary per the Family Handbook. It is the parent's responsibility to inform the office. Thank you!
*Students may dress down for their birthday on any day they choose
(except on Fridays due to Mass).
*Students need to wear Mass uniform on Fridays (no skorts or shorts).
*Please read the dress code from the handbook. All students need to follow the dress code. Sweaters and fleeces need to have the Star logo. If they are out of uniform (including socks) they will be sent to the office in the morning.
